Black begone! This year the red carpet came alive with color — emerald green (a favorite of the evening), feminine pinks, festive metallics and sultry reds. Red-carpet veterans, Armani, Versace, Calvin Klein and Lanvin, delivered gorgeous gowns for deserving ladies, while a few sartorial surprises took our breath away.
