Francine has been a customer and a friend for 29 years and from the first time I saw her walk by our shop she commanded my attention with her fabulous sense of style and sophistication. Our first shop was called Lorvin's Florist and we were one of the first stores to open the Gelson's shopping center in Westlake Village. We were young, enthusiastic and committed to establishing ourselves in the community as an alternative to the other flower shops in town.
Francine would walk by our shop frequently to pick up her dry cleaning and would look at our window displays and sometimes take a peek in the shop but hesitated to come inside which intrigued me. I assumed that she already had another florist she was loyal too and that made me even more determined to prove ourselves.
My thinking at the time was, if my mystery lady with her upscale taste liked us then I knew we were on the right track. So needless to say when Francine finally did walk into our store and introduced herself she was everything and more that I had imagined and over the next 29 years we have shared a long and wonderful association.
Dear Francine, we will always be grateful for your generosity, kindness, support and most of all your friendship and in your honor we have named one of our floral arrangements after you " Francine's Favorite" (Roses of course.)
